Dear Friends,
Thank you for your claification. As suggested I have posted a registered post (politely writing him the facts and the continued attempt) to him. Knowing his attitude I decided to do some research on DOL. It looks like we can only call DOL thats located in Michigan. Because thats where this Unscrupulous employer is located.
Kind Regards
Arjun

Thanks a lot for your reply. Quoting the site further here:

What is the A# and the Alien Registration Number? Are they the same thing?
Yes, these are two terms for the same thing. The A# is a case number that USCIS assigns to certain people, and then (usually, for exceptions see below) stays with you for the rest of your life, much like a Social Security Number. Most people get their A# when they apply for adjustment of status. It is also assigned if you apply for an employment authorization document (such as an F-1 OPT), a V visa, find yourself in deportation proceedings, and in a number of other situations.
</quoting>
But I guess visa number is a different thing from an A#. Thanks again for your reply

These are minor things, although annoying, but I wouldn't worry about them. I guess it's just your GC interview. The good thing is that they are processing your case. I would suggest taking your lawyer with you. When is your interview? Just curious what is the time frame. Good luck.

Can you clarify, is there any basis for this gloomy prediction ? I mean , how many people are in Line from Nov. 2001 and how many visa numbers are available every year for EB-3 (I). Let us hope for better, than your prediction.
Thanks.
1 year from now, only EB3-Indians with PDs of 2001-2006 will hang on the IV website. Everybody else(or atleast 99%) will be gone...

Well we had Hindu marriage in May. We have our marriage card, pictures, witnesses etc. So I was under the impression that I would be able to get certificate from registrar. Here is info I got
"
Under the Hindu Marriage Act:
Parties to the marriage have to apply to the Registrar in whose jurisdiction the marriage is solemnised or to the Registrar in whose jurisdiction either party to the marriage has been residing at least for six months immediately preceding the date of marriage. Both the parties have to appear before the Registrar along with their parents or guardians or other witnesses within one month from the date of marriage. There is a provision for condonation of delay up to 5 years, by the Registrar, and thereafter by the District Registrar concerned."

Hi,
I'm in the US working on L1 visa, though I have an expired visa, I have I94 valid until Jun 2008 which makes me legal to work here until Jun 2008. Now, I'm planning to travel to India, Do I need transit visa in France if I travel via france.
Thanks in advance,
Sheshadri

That is right. If it is feasible go for it. Also, what do you mean by residency for ur wife..medical one ?
In either case she can always come here for interviews on a B2 visitor, I know people who have done/doing it for medical residency.

My wife went for her biometrics today and what a surprise, her date of birth on the system was wrong.
She only had DL on her and no passport. So, the ASC staff took her biometrics but refused to correct her DOB, claiming that passport was needed.
So, we called up USCIS and upon description of the problem, were immediately transferred to level 2. Level 2 looked at the cases and confirmed that DOB was wrong on I-485. It was correct in I-765 and I-131. She said that the only way to correct it was to take infopass and present passport and DL.
It is now more or less clear that DOB mismatch has caused her EAD to be stalled for so long.I have already got my EAD.
Moral of the story : take passport for FP, infopass, etc. all the time.
Our EADs and APs were filed separately with I-485 courier receipt. What a mess !!
lets see what happens at infopass.
Yes, USCIS is a Jungle and not sweet

These can be done through state chapters. In tri state chapter, we have always been having meet and greets. A lot of pics have been uploaded to http://immigrationvoice.blogspot.com
During the first few months of IV - when there was a meeting, we had around 3 to 5 people, but in a recent IV meeting in New Jersey we had around 60 people.
Anyone can take an initiative and do this.
Conference calls, meet and greet, publicity campaigns etc... can all be done effectively via state chapters

"We are beneficiaries of an EB3 petition"
Isn't that the biggest issue with several of us! :)
Beneficiary of EB3????? OP is making a cruel joke too aside from starting a game seeking smart guys for a date
Has anyone benefitted from filing in EB3?
Victims of EB3 petition is correct.

Bank denied a consumer loan ,after approval due to immigration status specifically they said no loan unless you are a citizen. i am a permanent resident , leaving in the US for over 15 years. Applying for naturalization this year. Also the same bank had approved a consumer loan 2 years ago and now they say "oh we made a mistake then". Case or no case? I think I have been discriminated against.

hahaha.. this is so funny.
Good one. Please keep it coming. :D
There was a joke on something similar. I hope no one finds it offensive. It is just plain funny.
This guy walks into a sex doctor's clinic and begins with "My friend has a problem..."
Doctor: Ok..Take off your pants and let us have a look at your friend.

I filed 485 on July 18 in NSC. I called USCIS on Oct 16 (exactly the 90th day), early in the morning. 1-800-375-5283(1,2,2,6,2,2,1). The lady who picked up said they have introduced a new system to raise a 'Service Request' for those who are waiting for more than 90 days for check clearance. She siad that mine was the first case she was entering into the system. She keyed in my details and gave me a Service Request # and said that an agent will be assigned to my case within two days to look for my application. On Oct 18th, I found that my checks were cleared. But the rec # are not showing on online yet. So, pls call USCIS and raise a service req if you don't see any activity yet, it worked for me, though the rec # s not updated online yet.
I found that my appln was moved from NSC to TSC, as my rec # starts with SRC-08.

Hello,Our organization is limited to issues with employment based immigration. your friends case seems like a Family based Case and we do not have the right people to help you with your friends situation.
IV'ans - Please refrain from any suggestions towards this
though I can understand the advice ..I don't understand the reasoning ..an immigrant is an immigrant whether it is family or employment ..I would think that IV should try to increase its reach and not become an exclusive club...
Rique ..as far as I can think ..it is a very personal decision ..so it is difficult to give any advice ..maybe a lawyer can help. ofcourse the final decision would have to be taken by your friend.
