Hi All
My wife received her H1 document approval notice yesterday, but her approval notice does not contain I 94.
Employer says they will receive I 94 document seperately and they will mail it.
My question is, Is Employer saying TRUTH
Usually I94 is part of H1 Approval notice, ie bottom part, Do USCIS send out both these documents seperately.
If my wife does not get her I 94 what are her Options

My lawyer has initiated conversion of my TR case to a RIR. As per the FAQ provided by him, provided that the job duities and title is the same; he will get a prevaling wage determination from the SWA (this is the stage where I am right now), next he would post the ads for 10 days.... and continue with the regular recruiting procedure as per the RIR rules.
As per his estimate he would be able to file the RIR conversion request (with the recruitment data) to the Philly BEC in 2-3 weeks.
If you want I can e-mail his deatiled FAQ to you.

There is a bill pending in the House which was introduced by Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California which is similar to this new Senate bill which was introduced yesterday by Sen. Both of these bills propose to exempt U.S. advanced degree holders working for the U.S. employers from the numerical limit in the employment based immigration. Hi,
I hope I am posting in the right space and hoping to get some input from people who have been in a similar situation.
My mother is coming from India (Hyderabad) to San francisco . The ticket was booked in India and we were hoping to get a travel companion for her and help her through gate changes, customs and related stuff. When we talked to travel agents they kept postponing until one week before departure (She leaves on 14th). Now they were able to locate one companion until London but after that they split.
Eventhough wheelchair assistance was requested from London and confirmed. I am worried that she never traveled by herself and she wouldn't be able to complete all the forms or answer all the questions or even stand in the right queue by herself at the port of entry in San francisco.
I am sure there will be other passengers from London to San francisco but I want to talk to them before she gets on the plane and not leave to chance and hope somebody helps her. With all the new privacy issues how do we get in touch with Telugu(worst case Hindi) speaking people on the plane from London to San francisco.
I would appreciate your input

You don't need to worry about it!. The Airlines Staff or the wheelchair assistant will take care of gathering the data from your mother's documents and filling up the necessary forms.

Hello Core Members ,
We are seeing that some applications are being returned by USCIS mail room people , for improper fees and missing forms . This looks to be a very bit issue for people who have filed the cases , during July . Its possible that the filers may have made any mistake or this can be a mistake of Mail room People too due to huge volume of applications they have received . During Normal process every one had a fair chance of applying again with in the current month or many times even the preceding months. This is definitely not the case this time. If some case is rejected after Aug 17, they will not be able to file I 485 for Years . Can any of the core members suggest a way to contact the USCIS or DHS people and get some relief from this , and allow to re file the I 485 .

I have my receipt number. And I am trying to get a hod of my case folder from th company lawyer.
"As such you do not need H1 due to new rule on OPT, however; you need to check if the H1 was applied for change of status? If it is a change of status application, you need to probably inform USCIS that you will not be changing status to H1."
Is there any way I can check if th H1 was applied for change of status without information from the company lawyer?

I'd just like to add that it would help to see some examples of the images that you're having problems with. It's quite hard to tell from a description what could have gone wrong (or even if it's perfectley expectable, just that you expected the camera to do something else. I've done that more than once ;-)
Upping the ISO is an obvious solution, so is using a different flash than the built-in one, and using the flash directed at the ceiling (or some other white-ish surface, such as a piece of cardboard). By bouncing the flash, you get a more spread out light, and the picture will not be so harsh.
You can probably also lighten the images somewhat in Photoshop (or whatever photo editing software you like to use). This obviously doesn't work if the image is completely black and you want white walls, but if it's one or two stops short of right, you should be able to get it 'almost' right.
But seeing some pictures of yours would most likely help a whole lot more than talking about them...

Thanks, I do have the copy of I-140 approval notice with receipt number and all that info.
It's hard to find employers (once again, non consulting ones) who commit to file my GC application again. At best, I get a "we'll gladly transfer your H1-B visa but no commitment on GC" sort of response. Considering a worst case scenario, if I dont have a newly approved PERM by May 2013 and my original PD (July 2008) becomes current, what happens then?

Friend, this issue is not only with my ex employer. As far I know most of the major consulting companies based in my native country who bring in L1s do the same stuff as the creator of this thread had reported.

A piece of black velvet or similar material would fix that, and isn't too expensive if you stick to one or two.I picked up small pieces of black and white non-reflective velvet that do a nice job. Any local fabric shop should carry it. Not cheap, but it won't break the bank. They might have remnants that would be large enough.
