Pehaps all that your lawyer cares for is your fees. The answer to your question is 'No' you cannot use your experience gained with your current employers, ofcourse if the petitioner is your current employer.

But his signature says labor is approved. I remember giving my lawyer an updated resume with current employment when she filed 140 for me. Maybe thats OK in 140 petition????

Landing is when you formally enter Canada as a Permanant Resident.
It doesnt take more than 10-15 minutes. Its easier to do at an airport then by land.
Its also the time you will be submitting your "goods to follow list" - ie the list of itesms you currently have (Jewellery, Car, electronics etc) which you can import to Canada duty free. Anything you bring afterwards could be taxed duty.

I have submitted ombudsman case sheet by mail.
My lawyer also sent request through AILA liason. She asked me to wait 6 weeks before enquiring again.
NSC responded to my lawyer's request. They do have the correct older PD in their system and will be adjudicating my case according to that.
Ombudsman response was an error.

I was in a similar situation.. not exaclty the same...
I had an approved I 140 and then I got the Notice of Intent To Deny, similar reason. This is what I did.
- I called my unversity and asked them to send me a detail syallbus of the courses I attended
- A letter from a third part evaluator
- An indetail letter from my HR as to what my courses where and how the courses pertain to my work.
- A detailed letter from the attorney.
looks like you do not have any thing to worry, if you took math courses and your syllabus states that then you should be ok. Make sure that you mention in very much detail and repetedly about the courses you took so that they wont miss it. Good luck I am certian you will be ok.

I got my visa re-validation (re-stamping) done at Mumbai consulate on Nov 12. This was my 3rd H1B stamping. The previous 2 stampings were done at other consulates. These were the only questions asked:
1) Which company you work for?
Answered
2) Reason for visiting India
Ans - For visa revalidation and to visit family.
3) How will your spouse and child travel since they are not applying with you?
Ans - Child is US citizen and spouse will use AP.
The officer informed that the visa is approved, and the passport will be sent by courier. I had just about every document that you can think of, but not a single document was asked.

No. Both times it was a large company (one has an agreement with a big law firm to handle immigration-related issues). I asked my current employer's attorney about it and she told me not to worry, they never had issues with AC21 portability (employer has 120,000+ employees). She was right regarding my case.

The funny part is that I did use premium process and still took them 4 months...apparently they had made a mistake and process it as non premium and still took the extra $1,000... Im not sure if I am having bad luck or what else to think.
So I emailed Immigration and asked them about the 1 day H1b visa hoping they would tell me they made a mistake, but their answer was that it was not a mistake, that in fact they gave me 4 months and 1 day. But how did they give me 4 months and 1 day? I couldnt work during the 4 months I spent waiting for their answer, how is that the same thing? I know there is a mistake somewhere along the road, but I dont know how to address and/or what my possibilities are...

Tell the lawmakers, we legal H1b highly skilled workers are willing to shell out $10K-$20K, if they can have a provision after I-140 to let us get I-485 Premium Processing. This fee, lets call it Premium processing GC fee, can help government in all the good ways.
Paying this premium processing is giving government funds to support various things namely balance budget, fund the troops in war.
IV should consider this seriously and debate.

I have received my GC on January 28th. My company filled the following with USCIS:
I140 was filled on Nov. 21 2007 and Approved on Jan 24th 2008
I485 was filled on Nov. 21 2007 and Approved on Jan 20th 2008
Now... some people say to me to wait 180 days to quit my current job (which is paying me half of what I should be earning as a GC holder), some people say it is okay to leave at anytime....
So, I don't know what to do, I pretend to become a citzen in 5 years also, and not sure if this will count bad towards that.
I have some reasons to leave: sallary is low (they will not negociate more), wife is pregnant and I am getting a mortgage.
Please advice.

My 485 was filed on july 2nd, have'nt recieved the RN,Now i want to file for EAD/AP without RN (cos need it badly for my wife) but the lawyer is advicing against it. He says...
My concern in filing the EAD/AP applications without the I-485 Receipt Notice is that it will take USCIS a long time to marry the files together, and that much longer to adjudicate, versus filing the EAD/AP applications with the I-485 Receipt Notice. In the latter case, the application can stand on its own, in that USCIS does not have to "search" for any other file; in this instance, we suspect USCIS will adjudicate these applications faster.
Anyone in the same boat..

Looks like they are busy with Aug 17th deadline and they have not got back to me yet. It's a bit of a guess without seeing the images, however when the light source i.e. a lamp, or a window is in the picture area it forces the camera to average its brightness into the exposure calculation. The result = dark pictures. I remember way back when when I was just getting started I had no Idea how dark it realy was when I started shooting indoors. Uping the sensitivity As previosly described is most likely necessary. (either that or a tripod, and neck clamps for your subjects as was done in the days of tintypes.) You might also consider bouncing a flash off of a white ceiling or wall to soften the light and avoid the harsh lighting you have learned to dislike.

Thought this is a good study and makes some valid points. I am not sure how receptive the US legislators and audience are to articles like this. At this time, there is actually no doubt in my mind that more liberal immigration policies will help the domestic economy, by boosting everything from home and car purchases, to savings rates, entrepreneurship, raise the bar on hard work, and many more intangibles. However at this time much of this seems counter intuitive to joe public, and hence won't happen.
I really worry for this country over the next decade if they can't set this right in the next 12-18 months. We just might be witnessing a fall in US economic credibility. Absent improvement and continuation of current spending and borrowing policies, we will see a US Sovereign debt downgrade by S&P/Moodys/Fitch and then all hell could break lose. Hey if we see this as possible with GE, why not the US Gov't in 18mths. I still think it unlikely, but no longer can count it out.
