The eligibility rules in the U.S., which are observed by the Red Cross and other blood donation centers, are very broad in eliminating groups with risk factors, the same way your zip code or your sex might affect your insurance rates. But the whole point is that in a "regular" war, we are far more likely to capture regular grunts or low level officers who have limited intelligence to provide.
Don't you think capturing KSM, who was one of the leaders of Al Qaeda is very different ? The guy obviously knows a great deal, and obviously will not easily divulge that information.
That doesn't make it acceptable to torture him (or anyone else) - you can't win a war against terrorists by becoming a terrorist. Where would you draw the line and how do you determine that the line is in the "correct" place?
If you say it's OK to torture someone who knows a lot but won't tell you what he knows, how do you determine he's not telling you everything and therefore sanction torture? Before you know it, you are sanctioning torture against everyone "just in case" and it then becomes a routine part of any interrogation against anyone you capture.
I know there are no easy answers to this, and I don't know how I would react if my daughter's life was at risk and could be saved by torturing someone, but I do know that torture is wrong in and of itself and cannot be justified from a moral perspective

Well I'm getting ready to go out tomorrow and purchase a brand new iPhone, but before doing so I made this post to see if anyone would be selling theirs for less than retail so I wont have to go out tomorrow and spend full retail plus tax on one.

But some people should keep in mind that it's entirely possible to love a company's products while not liking part or all of the actual company or how they operate on given occasions.
It's very easy for some here to just throw out the term troll and hater just because someone isn't accepting of Apple's PR, etc.

Welp... Got Notes 7.02 today.
Where did you "get" it? Is this something you went out to the store and got, or does IBM provide your company with it, or is this an update and/or a download you find on the IBM site that anyone could install?
I've tried to navigate ibm.com to find patches and updates and stuff, but the site is a maze of bad design and hard-to-find information...

And Apple having your address, phone number, e-mail address, creditcard is fine with you? And if yes, why is ok for Apple to have this information but not for the FT?

Linksys does not suport Macs at all
you can use the standard routers and switches but anything that requries a driver... wont happen.
there are some open souce drivers out there for wireless products.. but I dont know if they suport linksys yet or not

I've argued with Christians on a similar point. Shouldn't they allow the killers to have the rest of their natural lives to accept Jesus as their savior? And by executing them, we're saying to Jesus, "in your face! We decide, not you!"
