I saw the Swedish "Millennium series" films a few months back a couldn't help notice that when the protagonist was (wrongly) sent to prison, it looked more like a college dormitory than anything you'll see here in America.
likemyorbs would be horrified to see prisoners treated so humanely.
First off way to respond to the least important point in my post, i actually kind of expected that out of you. Treating them humanely and treating them like they're staying at a five star hotel are two different things. You're not supposed to make it so nice that people want to go there to escape the real world. Why should my tax dollars go to playstations and internet access for child molesters and murderers? That's beyond humane, that's just plain idiotic. Why don't we just provide them with their own butlers and maid service while we're at it? How about a cell phone too? :rolleyes: What a joke, this forum sometimes feels like the twilight zone.
Despite what you, I, or a victim's family might want, incarceration is not punishment. Incarceration is the protection of the public.
Of course it's for the protection of the public, but it's also not supposed to be a pleasant experience, it's supposed to suck. If you don't think that, i don't know what else to tell you, you're just too separated from reality at this point to turn back.

Social Security is fully funded to 2037, will run a surplus at that point and is separate from the budget. The ACA is fully designed to lower health care costs and lower the deficit, something which the right consistently ignores.

Harmed them financially, not physically. Not death penalty worthy. Again, i support the death penalty only for the most heinous of crimes. It should be used sparingly.

The issue of speculation driving people to starvation by artificially inflating the cost of food (mentioned on another thread) to the point that it is unaffordable is just plain unforgivable. Why should it make a difference whether the act happens by pulling a trigger or by making a boardroom decision? The fact that you killed someone through a deliberate act should not change based on how far removed you were from the victim.

Not true.. I am the Art Director for a Art department that makes grocery store ads.
Soda is not a common loss leader since it's DSD Pepsi/Coke keep close price controls.
I usually see produce and meat used as loss leaders..
All food margins are bad for grocery stores...they end up making the most money off of their non-food items...which is why you often see a growing number of non-food aisles.
Another point... I expect that TJ MAXX just bought up a bunch of the Refurbished iPads and is taking a $50 loss on each to get people in the stores.

Well they did pay money for it. They are probably losing between $70-$100 on each iPad.

I seriously doubt the figure of "80 iPads total" aquired by TJ Maxx that is speculated in the article, but who knows.
I think he meant 8,000. I did the math myself. All you do is count the number of stores east of colorado or so. I estimate 50%-60% of stores got 10 iPads each...throw in some Marshalls stores...and you get between 5,000 - 10,000 iPads.
(notice how some Marshalls stores are holding off on their iPads until Black Friday...maybe they are apple users who actually figure out they have a prized possession...i can see most managers just saying..what are these ipads..lets just give them away).

Please let us know if any had implemented.
Though Air Share (http://itunes.apple.com/in/app/air-sharing/id289943355?mt=8) itunes app is using WebDAV protocol, not much idea of implementation was found me.

Overpriced. These games are ancient and most of them don't offer much gameplay at all. Plus it cost atari essentially nothing to put this app out. If they made it $0.99 for the hundred pack then it'd be no-brainer, we'd buy it just for the nostalgia alone. I could conceivably see paying up to $4.99 for the hundred pack for the very small handful of games that are actually worth playing. But $14.99 for these junky games? No way.
p.s., I'm not saying all old games are bad, quite the contrary, there are a lot of fantastic old games that still hold up well, but the atari era of games were especially crappy.

The difference is physical media, no DRM, and using a portable with REAL BUTTONS (;)) - but that's a whole other discussion... :eek:

Still others didn't know att would be that bad but where stuck into contracts, and it worked well enough to justify waiting and not paying the termination fee. Furthermore, there are plenty of people who have no problems with att, but media hype and aggressive advertising has convinced them they do have a problem, so they will switch. I'm sticking with ATT, it has worked great for years and years for me.
